round one...the hallowed ground...the MCG
nothing like making a decision at the last minute to participate in my own triatholon, shopping, eating and footy, tee hee and no greater motivation than to escape than the prospect of having to directly communicate with a celebrity look a like and his mother...no thanks... to melbourne i flee to meet up with a former teaching buddy and gal pal who shares a passion for bargain hunting like myself .btw she is a swannies supporter and we both lost our MCG virginity last year witnessing the hawks play the cats in a game that drew a 66,000 plus crowd, damn you pussycats you ruined my tips that round!!!
i have to say ladies a weekend getaway for a footy fan can be the bees knees. shopping at discount retail outlets and eating gorgeous food on the back of your team winning their first game convincingly is a great start to the season. sharing that win with some gal pals who are passionate, long time supporters (see cover photo...yes there we are at the G) who are also in for a shopping and gastronomic adventure is a bonus. so those who said big deal it was only melbourne...well i would have perhaps given that some merit if it had been a minus 20 point win but a crushing defeat of the demons and a free flowing game of four quarters one could not help but feel lifted and somewhat optimistic...yes indeed...and listening to the coach speak post game and reiterate that he is about buidling relationships and focusing on effort...well gotta say i was impressed...SOLD!!!

From the
couch..,. Three quarter time, looking optimistic liking what I have seen so far
although would not be able to afford so many misses against increased quality
opposition.... Go Power!!!
